Toro Toro by Chef Richard Sandoval

Mercury Towers, St Julian’s

Set within the landmark Mercury Towers development, Toro Toro by Chef Richard Sandoval combines the flair of an international restaurant franchise with locally inspired craftsmanship. SAW was entrusted to deliver an extensive range of bespoke joinery elements, all unified through a rich palette of American walnut.

The works included multiple bar counters – the sushi bar, Ana bar, and service bar – along with liquor racks, an information desk, VIP shelving unit, and a variety of custom seating such as L-shaped and U-shaped couches. Each element was designed and manufactured to align seamlessly with the venue’s layered aesthetic.

Among the standout architectural features were the construction and cladding of mezzanines and a traditional Maltese balcony, which introduced a culturally rooted element to the otherwise contemporary setting. SAW also completed a wooden ceiling installation, coordinated ceramic wall finishes, and supplied 10 custom doors, ensuring a cohesive and refined result across all interior zones.
