Scope of Joinery Works

Set within the landmark Mercury Towers development, Toro Toro by Chef Richard Sandoval masterfully blends the flair of an international restaurant franchise with locally inspired craftsmanship. SAW was entrusted with the design, manufacture, and installation of an extensive range of bespoke joinery elements, all executed in a rich palette of American walnut to ensure a unified and luxurious interior aesthetic.

Our scope of work encompassed multiple bar counters including the sushi bar, Ana bar, and service bar as well as liquor racks, an information desk, and a VIP shelving unit. The project also featured custom seating solutions, such as L-shaped and U-shaped couches, each meticulously designed and fabricated to complement the venue’s layered, sophisticated interior.

Among the standout architectural features was the construction and cladding of mezzanines, along with the installation of a traditional Maltese balcony, introducing a culturally rooted element to the contemporary design. The team also completed a wooden ceiling installation, coordinated ceramic wall finishes, and supplied 10 custom doors, ensuring each detail aligned perfectly with the overall design vision.

Through careful coordination and craftsmanship, SAW delivered a cohesive and refined interior across all zones, balancing functional requirements with a high-end aesthetic. The result is a restaurant that not only reflects the international brand’s identity but also resonates with local design influences, creating a memorable dining environment for every guest.
