Designed by Archi+, ibis Styles St. Paul’s Bay is a contemporary hospitality project that blends comfort, character, and a playful design language. For this modern hotel, SAW was selected as the joinery partner to deliver the furnishing of guestrooms, alongside the installation of both standard and fire-rated doors, ensuring compliance with hospitality safety standards.
Our involvement focused on translating the designer’s vision into durable, high-quality interior elements suited to daily hotel use. A carefully curated mix of materials was employed to create guestrooms that feel both warm and robust, aligning with the brand’s relaxed yet design-driven identity.
Key furniture elements were crafted using birch plywood with exposed edges, celebrating material honesty and craftsmanship. These were complemented by metal components and steel mesh wardrobes, all finished in a consistent colour palette to achieve visual cohesion throughout the rooms.
In addition, SAW delivered a range of supporting elements including upholstered pieces, cork wall finishes, aluminium details, and curved components, adding texture, softness, and contrast to the interiors. The result is a well-balanced guestroom environment where functionality, durability, and contemporary design come together seamlessly.
